How SPD Technology Works
SPD works by dispersing millions of suspended particles between two transparent conductive layers. The tint level dynamically responds to applied voltage:
- Power OFF = Dark Blue (Opaque)The SPD particles remain randomly distributed, absorbing over 98% of visible light. The film appears in a deep dark blue state, heavily reducing solar glare and heat.
- Power ON = Transparent (Clear)When 90V AC current passes through the conductive layers, the particles instantly align in an orderly manner. This allows light to pass through, switching the film to a highly transparent state (60% transmittance).
